Monday's Fun Day!

My last Sale-A-Bration set to give away!

Lots of Thoughts:

Photobucket

What do you need to do to get in on this terrific set?

I'm still new to blogging and would love getting feedback on ways to improve my blog.
Since my stamp set is called "Lots of Thoughts", send me just that. Lots of thoughts on what you want to see, what you like and what you don't like. It can even be about what you love about a particular blog or don't like about another blog (please do NOT link or mention names).

For me, I still need to come up with a watermark for my pictures and a banner for my blog. I also need to figure out a way to do the pop-up comment window. Still not sure what to do about the music except perhaps keep it and hope that everyone can find the player quickly enough to pause it or mute their computer... or that the music is gentle enough for most everyone. I was scared out of my skin the other night and have been very sensitive about this every since! lol! Hoping that the slideshow doesn't bother many. Or the seemingly endless number of blogs that inspire me.

ANYWAYS...
I will use a number generator or a number picker (one of my boys) and post a winner on Friday, 3pm PST.

Cheers!

Hi Jane!
To make your comments pop-out is easy :) Just go to Settings, click on Comments. Scroll down until you see "Show comments in a popup window?" Choose Yes, and then Save settings. There you have it :)

I love your tutorials! Keep it up :)

Hi Jane,
My thoughts, I like little treat holders with templates. I don't like dark backgrounds in the body of the blog. I think you are doing great and enjoy seeing your new posts. Thanks for the chance to win this set. jmniffer

i love to see tutorials for new projects - like your strawberry box, which was SO Cute!! I also like seeing sketch challenges (with measurements) and color combos that are new to me. I truly dislike the music playing on blogs, and try to remember to keep my speakers off so it doesn't scare the pants off me! thanks for letting us share our thoughts with you! You're doing a great job :)

I am new to blogging myself. I love Tutorials and pictures of what people have created. It has so inspired me to try new things. (I can't wait to do the Strawberries!) Good luck and thanks for the blog!

I love the tutorials and seeing what other people are working on. I also like to hear a little about your personal life so that we get to "know" you! :)
I would love to see you have a banner! Oh and I like it when each new post has a defining (like a darker color for example) title to it, so I don't have to search for newer dates.
And Big my Secret is playing right now....which I totally enjoy!!!!
Thanks!

Wow..I'd love to have this set! I need sentiments badly!

I'm enjoying your blog very much. I love seeing cards. Love tutorials and any templates of things you may make. I'm fairly new to all this , so, I need to "see" things in order to do :)

I hope you find a header that you like, I'd like to see some background color too, something soft but not have the text blend .

Thanks for the chance!

I love your strawberry tutorial! About your blog... I think that if a blog is NOT kept simple, other things detract from what you are trying to say/show. Also, I think black print on a white or VERY light background is important to make it readable. Actually, I prefer the white background. And, unless the object of one's tutorial is white, I think a white background is essential to let you see it clearly.

I think, if you want to blog to be read and not just glanced at, it needs to be relatively simple. I really don't like automatic music playing.

As for blog content... I love tutorials!

Your blog is already fabulous. Your photos are clear & sharp, I love your mixture of tutorials and family photos, with your creations. It's very legible & not overly wordy. You make it pop with different color & size of fonts. The music is soft and doesn't scare the baa-jeebers out of me when I visit. The only thing that you might improve on is a pretty header that shows off your cute Whoopsie Daisy title:) Sheesh, you even offer us blog goodies...how cool is that?!!!

I love your blog the way it is, I like simple clean blogs with good content and lots of ideas. I am new to blogging myself and have found a couple of sites that have helped me with some of the more difficult things in blooger. If you would like the addresses, send me an email and I will be happy to share them with you. Keep up the great work, and thank you for sharing your creations. I also want to thank you for offering nice blog candy.

Hi Jane...

I have a number of blogging tips that may help you along on your path: http://stampinwhenican.blogspot.com/search/label/Blogging%20Tips

I really think most people have agreed that if you have music on your blog, don't let it auto-start since it will a) either freak you out on your blurfing tour or, like in my case, b) wake up sleeping kids/husband!

Laurie has lots of ideas too to aid and abet your blog setup: http://tipjunkie.blogspot.com/2008/05/blogger-questions-tips.html

Hope this helps!

Sounds like you've gotten some great comments on blogging! I still would like to say I'm not a fan of music on a blog. Your wedding pictures are beautiful.

I just like lots of card samples and projects!

I love to see card samples. I also love your music - it's soft and soothing unlike other blogs where the music is blaring and loud and crazy. Soothing is much more condusive to crafting in my opinion!

I really like your blog. Tutorials are great. As for the music...I keep my sound off so I wouldn't even know if you had music playing. It's just my quiet time. Your cards are great and your projects are fun. You've been in my reader so you must be doing something right!

Love to see projects on blogs and tutorials of course.
Your music does not bother me as it is soft enough. Some blogs have them set to loud and it does cause me to jump lol.
My biggest pet peeve when it comes to blog is those that use dark backgrounds and colored text. I really have to strain to read them and I have 20/20 vision. You don't have that either so I would say so far you are doing an excellent job.
Have an awesome day!
