Flutter Butter Butterfly

On January 9th, Melissa introduced her new Paper Piecing Projects and a butterfly paper piecing contest. That post (click HERE) includes tons of gorgeous samples. You get to download a free butterfly (or purchase one) and have a chance to win $50 to spend at Pink Cat Studios! Click HERE to get more info. Be sure to go there today because the contest ends on Wednesday, Jan. 28th!

I had the chance to create this card for Melissa when she was looking for crafters to make samples for her.

I decided to get in on the Butterfly Paper Piecing Contest. I used Flutter Butter Breeze (Bo-Bunny) designer paper and Alora rub-ons (Bo-Bunny) to make the card below. The butterfly was paper pieced after I covered the wings and sections with the rub-on. The body and antennae are covered with glitter.

If you haven't tried the PCS Paper Piecing Projects, you have to give them a try! I know that I love to cut by hand and it's not for everyone... but you can use these with your electronic cutter! If you don't have an electronic cutter, you can very easily cut these by hand.

I am getting ready now for a bowling tournament in Las Vegas and need to get offline to pack. :) Did you see that Kelly Kulick made bowling history by becoming the first female bowler to win a PBA Title? How awesome is that?!

Have a wonderful week and be sure to come back here tomorrow for La-La's Weekly Wednesday Challenge and a new Pretties Wednesday Challenge!
