Scallop Envelope Box Tutorial

HAPPY ST. PATRICK'S DAY!!
The leprechauns were very busy in our home in the wee hours of the mornin'.
I stayed up until 4am so they must have come out sometime between then and 6am when the boys got up.
The family room is trashed!! LOL! Green glitter everywhere!

I have some AWESOME news to share!!

My Scallop Envelope Box Tutorial is now up over at Splitcoaststampers!!!

When Beate emailed me a few months ago, I thought I had done something seriously wrong and I was in trouble. I wonder if she gets that a lot. Anyways, I have been holding on to this since the end of last year and could hardly wait for today to finally arrive!

I have both step-by-step pictures as well as my very first video tutorial!

Please take a look and let me know what you think! If you have any questions, please leave them here or there, under comments.

Have a WONDERFUL Wednesday!!

Hey Prettie Peeps! HAPPY ST. PATRICK'S DAY!
It's time for a new Pretties Challenge (PWC95)! You are gonna like this one!

Before we get to my project, I just wanted to check in with you and see if you made it here from Wendy's awesome blog. If not, hop on over to Christie's and start from there. I don't want you to miss a thing! :)

Here's my project using the colors as my inspiration!
This is the Scallop Envelope Box.
My tutorial for it is now up over at Splitcoaststampers!
You can see the step-by-step over HERE.

This is what it looked like before I put some Aquamist cardstock on the flaps

Here's the after:

I added a handle by placing the ends underneath the Aquamist cardstock

Here's a closeup of Eggstra Special Easter Cooper

Recycle it!

Happy Wednesday! It's time for a new La-La's Weekly Wednesday Challenge!

It's Elena's turn to be our hostess this week!
Since March 17th is St.Patrick's Day, Elena decided to GO GREEN.
It's time for a RECYLE IT Challenge!
 Let's save the world!

Here are some ideas from Elena:
- use a cereal box as a chipboard to create your own embellishment
- use a lace or ribbon or buttons from the old clothes
- old newspaper or book page to make a paper flower
- instead of designer paper, try wrapping paper or wall paper
- use a bubble wrapping paper as a "stamp" to create your own background paper
- create a 3-D project by using an acetate package
- use raffia
- use old / inexpensive jewelry as a charm

The deets on the challenge has changed so please be sure to visit La-La Land Crafts for the new info!

Almost everything on (not inside) the Scallop Envelope Box is recycled!
My tutorial for this box is now up over at Splitcoaststampers!
You can see the step-by-step HERE.
Be sure to let me know what you think!

The box:

I recycled the cardboard that comes with SU Designer Series Paper

You can find my tutorial on SCS!

The flowers are made from a Target ad!

Curl the ends of the petals with the side of your scissors. Be gentle... newsprint tears easily!

Recycled cardboard from the end of a ribbon bobbin.
I punched it to a smaller circle with a 1" punch.

I used a distressing tool and roughed up the edges.

I poked two holes in the set of flowers and the ribbon bobbin cardboard.

I ran twine through the holes and tied a bow to hold everything together.

The box holds Prima flowers.
It's for a friend who LOVES cows and flowers...
and her favorite color is WHITE!

Doesn't Maya look so happy?!
I just love Happy Maya!

Have a wonderful Wednesday!!
