A year to remember... a new year to look forward to!

Hi everyone!

It's my birthday (Monday, June 7th) and I just wanted to make a quick post on personal updates.

First of all, I have to apologize to you all for not regularly visiting your beautiful blogs and leaving some love. Things have been a bit rough on this end the past few months. Loooooong and uninteresting story there. :) Anyways, I have been avoiding being online since that seems to eat up a lot of hours. I can't help it! There's SO much to look at in our crafty cyberspace! Making a resolution to visit those who visit me. It's a start, right?!

Second of all, I just wanted to take a moment and thank my design teams for being so patient with me. I haven't been very good about leaving comments on their blogs but they keep sending me lots of encouragement and love anyways. I am so proud to be on the teams that I am on! My resolution above applies to my uber talented DT buddies too.

I have also made a few changes to kick off the new year. I have decided to go back to school. I'm still over at De Anza Community College but I will be transferring over to West Valley eventually and then to San Jose State. My goal is to major in Psychology and Criminology. Another focus of interest is Forensics with a specialization in Biology. Well, I have two boys - my youngest is going into Kindergarten in the Fall!!! - and am a lot older than I would like to be in starting back up with college. Time restrictions will probably mean stopping with the first two majors. We shall see. :)

What about teaching preschool? I resigned from my teaching position over at the preschool. I couldn't see myself teaching and going to college full time while raising my two young boys. I will always have my Early Childhood Education degree so maybe someday I can go back to it. But for now, I will have very fond memories of my time at the MACC preschool and all of my adorable 2 and 3 year olds. I still teach piano a couple of afternoons a week and teach at the lss (Memories Live On).

Lost most of the weight that I had wanted to shed for a few years now. My new hairstyle makes me happy. I even got carmel highlights!! Wanna see? This picture of Keiji puckering up for a kiss cracks me up!

I went fishing for the very first time!
Out on the SF Bay!
I put my own bait on the hook and learned (almost) to fish.
I didn't catch anything but my friend did!
I didn't get seasick!

Well, that's all for now.

I am thinking of having a giveaway to celebrate my birthday month.
Would that be fun?
I think so.
I just need to find my camera and a few goodies. :)

Happy Birthday!! I love the new do as well!!

Wow...so excited about your school adventures! I was trying to think of something witty to say about the preschoolers and then dealing with criminals, but I think my brain is too fried from the move! ;)
