Use It Tuesday Challenge #16 - CHOCOLATE

Hi, everyone!

Boy, oh boy... do I have a yummy challenge for you from Use It Tuesday!
CHOCOLATE!

Think of all the possibilities!
Chocolate coloured paper?
Chocolate designer paper?
Chocolate ribbon?
Chocolate accessories?
Chocolate treats?
What do you fancy for this fun challenge?

***REMEMBER: All of our challenges call for you to use your hoarded supplies! A challenge requirement is to tell us in your post what you used!***

For more information and inspiration, please hop over to Use It Tuesday.

NOW... for my CHOCOLATE project:

Here's the story...
I really wanted to use my precious (and little) stash of Chocolate Chip cardstock. I even have some Chocolate Chip Satin ribbon from years ago. I tried to make something like a monochromatic card with them. Epic fail since it just didn't look "right" and I went through a whole sheet of Chocolate Chip cardstock. :(  I decided to take a break from it for a couple of days and that's when it found me. A package of Ghirardelli Chocolate Squares staring right at me in the candy section at Target. Yup, yup. I just had to buy it for this challenge. I made a treat holder with one of the squares. Please don't ask what happened to the rest of the bag. That's my story and I'm sticking to it. Hahaha!

I'll be making these for Halloween!

Here are a few of the things I used that have not seen the light of day in years:
- Batty For You (SU! 2007)
- Haunting Halloween (SU! 2007)... I used the stars from this set to create a background and cut them into strips as a layer on the card.
- Hoarded scraps of halloween paper and misc purple & green cardstock
- one of my favorite SU ribbons... black gingham
Okay, now it's YOUR turn to crank out something chocolatey.
Can't wait to see what you come up with!

Use It Tuesday #15 - Un-inked!

Hi, everyone!
I'm back with another challenge from Use It Tuesday!
It's a fun and super easy one.
You just have to pull out an un-inked stamp to ink up.
I know you have some in your stash. :)

***REMEMBER: All of our challenges call for you to use your hoarded supplies! A challenge requirement is to tell us in your post what you used!***

As always, one lucky participant will be randomly chosen to be a featured guest designer in an upcoming challenge! This week, we have Nicki joining us after winning Challenge #14. To see her project along with those from the Use It Tuesday Design Team, and more info on the challenge, please visit Use It Tuesday!

Now here's what I came up with for the "Un-inked Challenge".

This adorable onesie was originally made years ago for a friend's baby shower.
The directions for it was available over on Lauren Meader's blog.
She now has a file for the onesie for purchase HERE

I had bought the Baby Button Bits stamp set from Papertrey Ink a couple of years ago.
I inked up the pea shaped stamp but the rest of it has gone un-inked!

I couldn't decide which SU ink color to stamp with to go with the Barely Banana onesie. I even called a couple of my dear friends, Michelle and Jana, for their advice.
In the end, I rummaged around a bit and found two packs of brand new SU! ink pads!! They are new colors that I had bought and never opened. YIKES! The Pear Pizzazz was perfect for what I had in mind. SO glad I found these packs. :)

Also unopened and unused is my bag of Papertrey Ink Vintage Buttons.
These particular colors are not on their website for sale.
However, other fabulous sets of buttons are available HERE.

See the lavendar threads that I put on the button?
Unopened bag of embroidery floss from Michaels!
Yup, yup... more hoarded goodies! LOL!

Okie dokie! That's it for now.
Don't forget to hop over to Use It Tuesday for inspiration and information!
