Happy Mother's Day!

HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!
I hope that everyone is having a good Mother's Day.
I have a few friends whose mothers have passed on.
Just wanted them to know that they are in my thoughts.
Then there are several friends who have lost a child.
You are in my thoughts on this very special day as well.

This most adorable little flower is part of a 4 digi stamp set called "Wee Bee - Pollinatin" by Amber Ink.

I punched three windows on a 4.25" x 5.5" sheet of blue cardstock with my 1-3/8" SU square punch. On a separate sheet of Certainly Celery cardstock, I punched out three matching windows using a 1-1/4" SU square punch. After gluing the green cardstock behind the blue one, and popped it onto the front of my card base with dimensionals. I sized my flower digi to 1.26" x 1.34". Three of them were printed onto X Press-It cardstock. Copics were used to add some color to each flower. Each were cut out and popped up inside the "windows" with dimensionals.

Supplies:
Images: Wee Bee - Pollinatin' (Amber Ink)
Ink: Laser Printer (HP)
Paper: X-Press It, April Showers (Three Bugs in a Rug), Bashful Blue (SU) Certainly Celery (SU)
Misc: Copics (Y35, YR15. YG23, 0), Dimensionals (SU), rhinestones (SU)

Some Bunny Loves You!

Looking for the new Kiddies and Flowers release from Pink Cat Studio?
Just scroll down to the next post or click HERE

Last week, I posted a bunny love card for Amber Ink as my month long stint as the Purple Torch Bearer kicked off. I love the little bunnies so much that I wanted to use one of them for this week's project.
The image that I used last week is called "Sorry About That" and what's awesome about this image is that the download purchased comes in a set of three separate images! Now, if you care for just one of the bunnies, then you can purchase the two separately as well. Just click on the names and you will be sent to Amber Ink.

 Aren't they cute?!

Here's my card:
If you take a good look at the bunny, you will notice that this bunny on my card is looking up at the sentiment "Some Bunny Loves You", which is also from Amber Ink. I printed the image onto designer paper and cut the head off from the body and used a pop-up dot to attach it onto the card. I tilted the head up a bit.

The card was missing "something" so I added flower buttons from SU! and some twine and then used my Old Olive marker to draw in the grass and stems. The stitching was done by hand. I can not get my sewing machine to work properly. I think the tension is off and don't have a clue as to how to fix it, so I just went for the old sewing by hand trick. :)

The card was inspired by Mojo Monday 186 Sketch from a couple of weeks ago.

Come join me on Friday over at Amber Inklings for Aloha Friday!

Love At First Sight

Do you believe in love at first sight?

 I do!

When I saw Amber Ink's Love Bunny line, I fell completely head over heels in love with these cuties.

I wanted to honor the passing of the torches by using PURPLE (my torch color) on my first project.

I used Love Bunny - Sorry About That and changed it up a wee bit.

The bunny on the left seems so anxious and the one on the right looks miffed.
I wanted to see if I could pull off a kiss instead and make it a love connection between these two.

I sponged Snow Cap (Adirondack) very lightly over the embossed Bazzill.
This gives it a bit of a velvety look which I really like!
I used Grape Jelly (Memento) all around the edges of each layer.
The hearts are from a Stampin' Up! punch. I wanted to use something to hide the miffed bunny's crossed arms. There are rhinestones on there from Stampin' Up! as well. I used my Copic marker V17 to color the rhinestones. The bunnies were shaded with V20 and Y02 was used to highlight the area all around the two bunnies.
