Strawberry Friend Notepad Holder

Hello everyone!

I hope that you all had a wonderful weekend.

Before I get to the project I made for Chi Chi Memories, I just wanted to say how much I appreciate the emails that I have received from many of you regarding my friend, John, who committed suicide on Thursday. I didn't sleep at all for three nights and finally got 6 hours of sleep last night. Many of you have shared stories of your losses and they have all been very helpful as I work through this. For those who are not on my Facebook page or take classes with me, the story goes that I was supposed to try to meet him last week but couldn't make it down. I received the call from a mutual friend the following evening that he had died. I try my best to live my life without regrets and am afraid that this is one that will weigh heavily on my heart and conscience for a very long time to come. I had the opportunity to see him... if anything for one last time. I didn't take it and now he is gone. I fully understand that I am not at fault or to blame but there's always the "what if" that keeps popping up in my head.

Now on to happier news!

My boys are going back to school!! Today will be the first day of school. The best part is that my youngest is going to Kindergarten!! He will have the same teacher that his brother did so it should be relatively easy.
I always make something small for the teachers on the first day. Here's what I made for Mrs. MacDonald.

Meet Candace from Chi Chi Memories!
She is weating a cute strawberry costume.
She is available as a single digi stamp or part of a set
called "Costume Set".

I colored Candace with Copics.
Skin: E11, E00, E0000, R20
Hair: E25, E31, E50
Reds: R27, R24, R22, R20
Greens: YG05, YG03, YG00
Sharpie Poster Paint (waterbased)

The inside is a notepad holder with a pocket:

Hope you like it!

Leave me a comment and I will make another one for one lucky winner!
I will randomly pick a name on Tuesday, August 31st.

BLOBBY!

A new character is joining the PCS family!!
I'd like to introduce you to Blobby, our newest super cute character at Pink Cat Studio!

Here's what Melissa has to say:
"He is sweet, funny and cuddly, a perfect addition to the PCS family. This week, Blobby takes the cake, literally! Now I'm not sure if he is delivering that cake or running away with it, you be the judge :) Our second digi is Blobby Cracking Up. Someone either told him a joke or he thought of something funny but nothing will stop this little guy from giggling 'til he cries. And our third new digi is Blobby Holding a Flower. Awe, so sweet right?!? I told you he was a sweetie."

I wholeheartedly agree!!
I am in LOVE with this cutie pie!

Here's my sample of Blobby Takes The Cake.
The layout is inpired by Jen del Muro's Sketch For You To Try.

The funny thing is that when I was coloring this image, I was coloring the "cake" as presents. I didn't even realized there was a candle up on top... not even after I had cut it out! LOL!!
So the next time you see Blobby, I will turn his cake into a stack of presents.
See how versatile this image is?

Be sure to let us know what you think of this little guy!
Melissa has tons of ideas for him and would love your feedback!

Have an awesome day!!

Hello everyone!
Welcome to another Ellephantastic Challenge!
I am so excited to be the challenge hostess this week!
The challenge this week is to create a project that is SHABBY CHIC.
In case you are unfamiliar with the term "shabby", think vintage/antique painted white / pastels with distressed edges ~ often tea-stained.

This week we are being sponsored by the lovely Suzette over at Crafty Sentiments!

Suzette has kindly given this adorable new digi as a prize for this week!
Thank you, Suzette!!
