Prettie Preview!

Hello Prettie peeps!

Have you heard the awesome news over at Paper Pretties?

We have 12 new sets being released on Thursday! That's right! TWELVE!!

5 of them are from our incredibly talented veteran illustrator, Joni Stringfield. 7 of them are from a BRAND NEW Paper Pretties illustrator! I am super excited to let you know that Victoria Case has joined the Paper Pretties team as our newest illustrator! She is so talented and you are gonna love her work!

All of the NEW Paper Pretties sets from here on out are going to be Clear Photopolymer sets. Heather did a lot of research and made sure that she found the highest quality clear stamp manufacturer possible. I can personally tell you that the quality of these clear stamps is OUTSTANDING! The new sets has more sentiments and accessory stamps than the old sets AND they are considerably less expensive for you!

The new stamps will be available in the Paper Pretties store beginning at 6am CST on Thursday Aug. 12th. We will also be having several sales specials and prizes!

I have a card to share with you that I made Chi Chi Memories!

The pretty wagon full of flowers and sentiment are from "Sympathy Collection 1" (Chi Chi Memories).

The coloring is a bit different... tried using coloured pencils over Copics.

Stamps:

Paper: Classic Crest Solar White (Neenah), Butterfly Kisses (Three Bugs in a Rug)

Ink: Tuxedo Black (Memento)

Coloring: Copics and Koh-i-noor pencils

Accessories: rhinestone (Kaiser), ribbon (SU!), Dimensionals (SU!)

It's been awhile since Freddie has made an appearance Natalie had him return for this set. Little Bear is taking care of Freddie while he is sick. I love that little bear!! You can get the entire digi set HERE for only $7.99!!

I have an Accordion Style Card Holder tutorial up on Splitcoaststampers and it holds standard sized cards (4-1/4" x 5-1/2"). For the sample this week, I wanted to make a smaller version of this box to hold little things like some chocolate, a box of bandages, Neosporin, and swabs.

It turned out really cute and the designer paper is pretty thick, so it's very sturdy.

Altering the size was fairly simple.

I will post the measurements later today.

Here's a simple baby card that I made.
I used a sanding tool to distress the embossed teal Bazzill card base.
Then I used a sponge to distress the rest of the paper and cardstock with Vintage Photo (Ranger).

PWC112 - Glitter Challenge and Prettie Blog Hop

Hey Prettie peeps!

It's Wednesday and you all know what that means...
Prettie Wednesday Challenge! Woo hoo!!

Heather (our new Prettie Mama) has a glitter challenge for us all!

It's really simple! Just put glitter on your card or your project!

I know you all have glitter stashed away somewhere.

Let's see you jazz up your projects with a little shimmer!

Here's my card.

Yes... you have seen this before. I altered it a bit with new SU ribbon and shimmer from atyou Spica.

Let me explain. I wanted to create a completely brand new card this week for this challenge but I have spent most of the last two days at the Cat Hospital. I came home from my bowling tournament up in Reno over the weekend to find my sweet fur baby, Mia, with a severe limp. Upon further investigation, I found three hard lumps on her belly... similiar to the ones that were removed a year ago. Our visit to the Cat Hospital proved to be difficult. The head doctor found a lemon sized tumor just by her stomach. Today's x-rays show that her chest is clear.  My heart aches since I know that Mia's time with us is very limited at this point. She is 15 years old. My other cat lived to be almost 20 yrs old. I don't think Mia will make it that far.

For those of you who have not "met" Mia, here's a picture I took of her yesterday.

Please keep her in your prayers. Mia will be going in for surgery on Monday.
