A Prettie Basket Full of Apples

I have one last Pretties peek to share with you this week!

Sadly, I had to make a Sympathy card for a friend who lost her father after a courageous battle with brain cancer. He truly was a "one of a kind" who brought a whole lot of sunshine with his happy smile. No matter how badly I might be bowling, he always made me forget with quick hug or an encouraging word. He will be greatly missed. I saw this sweet image of the basket full of apples and knew exactly what I wanted to do with it.

I love this week's Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge...
so much so that I had to use it again.

We have more peeks to share today, so hop on over and see what awesome stuff Christie, Heather, and Wendy have come up with! You can find all of the new stamps and digis HERE. Need more inspiration? Go check out the Pretties Gallery!

Welcome to the La-La Land Crafts SPRING Release Blog Hop!

You asked and we listened!! We are going DIGITAL!!! All of our images in this release are available as digi stamps!! We can not be more excited to move into this direction. No, we are not going to stop making rubber stamps. We are expanding our collection by providing you with more options for your paper crafting needs. Check out how super CUTE these new images are!!

To celebrate the release of our NEW Spring Digi Stamps, we are doing a bunny trail blog hop! Along with the cards created by the Design Team and Guest Designers, you will find some clues (a secret word or two) on every blog. When you follow the order of the Blog Hop and get to the end, you will have collected all of the words to make a sentence. When you are done, you will need to go back to our La-La Land Crafts Blog and leave your comment there.

Now if you didn't get here from La-La Land Crafts, then you need to hippity hop back on over there for your first word! Besides, don't you want to see what Irina has up as a prize?

Prettie Embossing!

I have two challenges for you! If you are looking for the La-La Land Crafts Sketch Challenge, please scroll down or click HERE!

Hello Prettie peeps! It’s time for another Pretties Wednesday Challenge & Blog Hop!

If you didn't hop onto my blog via Kristy's blog, then you might want to hop back over to the very start of the blog hop which is at Christie's blog. You are not going to want to miss a thing!

Today's challenge comes to us from Heather.  Her challenge for us is “Embossing”. You can heat emboss or dry emboss! I chose to do both.

The stamps I used for my card this week are “Apple Of My Eye” which is featured as the special this week. It is 20% off! "Apple of My Eye Scripture" is also on sale this week!

I decided to join in on the fun over at The Pink Elephant. They are having a sketch challenge. I love this sketch!

Here's my card! I dry embossed Sugar Rush (Basic Grey) paper with Swiss Dots (Cuttlebug) embossing folder. If you look closely, you will see that I used VersaMark pad over the "bowl" and heat embossed it with Glassy Glaze embossing powder. I did this process twice to get a smooth surface.

All you have to do is make a project following this weeks sketch and upload it to the Paper Pretties Gallery. We would love to see what you create, so be sure to upload your creation using keyword PWC92!

Now it's time to hop over to Jennifer and see what she has created for this challenge!

Have a WONDERFUL Wednesday!

IDOS Winter Card Olympics FINAL EVENT - Every second counts!

Hello everyone, and welcome to our 5th and final Winter Card Olympics challenge here on I Dream of Stamping! This challenge is a TIME challenge. We are challenging you to make a card in 10 minutes (you get 15 if you need it... for example, Jana had a sleeping baby on her shoulder!) This is of course on the honor system, but we think you'll have fun seeing just what you can create in a time crunch!!

I have to admit that I did not count the coloring of my image into the time frame. It took me about five minutes to color this and then a couple of more minutes to cut it out. I did start the time as soon as I started to trim the image out. Somehow, I managed to whip this card up in just under 10 minutes! 15 minutes if you count the time it took to color with Copics. Oh my... you should see my craft room! It is a MESS!

I used one of my favorites... Pink Cat Studio! I used Fairy Lily from the Enchanted Lily. I found a few scraps of Sugar Rush (Basic Grey) designer paper in my collection and put them over white Stamper's Select (Papertrey) cardstock. I roughed up the edges quickly with my fingernail... no time to pull out any fancy tools! LOL! I take that back. I did pull out my ScallopTrim Border Punch (Stampin' Up) to quickly punch out a pretty border. Pretty in Pink satin ribbon (SU) completes the card and accents the wavy border along the bottom of the second layer.

Dazzling Diamonds glitter (SU) sparkles on Lily's fairy wings.
Copics used: 0, E0000, E00, E01, E17, R32, Y11, YG03, G03, G28, BG0000.

I ADORE Pink Cat Studio! I want to also take a moment to thank Melissa again for this post on her Pink Cat Studio Blog.
I had submitted a card for her Paper Piecing Contest in January and I won!!

Thank you!!

Okay! Now it's your turn!
Hop on over to I Dream of Stamping (IDOS) and check out the details!

Hugs!

IDOS Winter Card Olympics Challenge #4 - CURLING

Welcome to another "I Dream of Stamping" Winter Card Olympics challenge! Challenge #4 is CURLING! You can curl paper, ribbon, or whatever else you want to curl! Just be sure to include HOW you have used curling on your card in the description. Make your project and then enter the challenge over at I Dream of Stamping for your chance to win a prize!

I curled some designer paper strips and made the curls into the tails of a bow. Just run thin strips of paper over closed scissors or twirl tightly around something long, thin, and round (like the needle part of a paper piecer). Do it slowly so as not to tear the paper or wrinkle it. If there are two layers to the paper, the bottom one might peel off, making it thinner and easier to work with.

Aren't these Pure Innocence girls from My Favorite Things, just ADORABLE?!!

Hop on over and visit with Jana and Michelle to see how they "curled"! Don't forget to visit I Dream of Stamping to see all of our challenges and join in on the fun!

I can't wait to see what you come up with!
